In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Have you ever had to wait? On this Thursday evening, I was exhausted after a long day. I reached my room around 4:30, prayed Asr, and planned to rest until Maghrib. However, I had a delivery to make, so I decided to do it quickly and return before 6 pm to rest for an hour before Maghrib.
I took a keke (tricycle) to my destination, not far from my hostel, delivered the parfait, and waited for another keke back. I waited for about 10 minutes, but there was no sign of keke. Feeling tired and impatient, I considered walking but dismissed the idea due to fatigue. Another 5 minutes passed with no keke in sight, and I thought, "I'm done waiting." I decided to cross over and take a different keke to the school gate, which was the opposite direction. Just as I was about to cross the road, an empty keke heading to the hostel arrived, and I got in.
Reflecting on this situation, I realized it's a recurring pattern: when I'm exhausted from waiting for something I've prayed for, help often arrives just when I feel I can't wait anymore. This blessing usually surpasses my expectations. Similarly, there have been times when I desired something intensely but didn't get it right away, only to later realize that not receiving it was a blessing from Allah.
"And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble"
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:45)
"O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:153)
Patience is painful but always remember The wait will always be worth it…the help of Allah is always near as long as we have tawakul and sabr….sometimes when I realize I’m not having as much tawakul as I should…I reflect on this verse
Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If only you relied on Allah the way you should, He would provide for you as He provides for birds; they set out hungry in the morning and return satiated in the evening."
(Sunnah Ibn Majah 4162)
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allāh?" Unquestionably, the help of Allāh is near.
(Al-bakarah: 2:214)
Patience is considered as a virtuous good deed. At times, we may think that we are at a loss when our patience does not bear the result that we aspire to. Verily Allah reminds us that those who are patient are among the good-doers whose rewards are promised.
"And be patient; verily, Allah loses not the reward of the good doers”.
(Surah Hud, 11:115)
So be patient, for the promise of Allah certainly is true. And do not be disturbed by those who have no sure faith.
(SURAHAR-RUM: 30:60)
Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success].
(Al-muminoon, 111)
Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah
be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ)said: "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
May Allah grant us tawakul and sabr to deal with our trials.

May Allah grant us beautiful patience💕
